RCEXL Single Ignitions

We have been importing these tried and tested, simple to use, RCEXL CDI Single Ignition Systems for years now and are still offering great value and service.

These units now require an input voltage between 6-12 volts and we recommend the use of 6V > 1200mA 5 cell pack, available from us or all good battery stockists.

Nice and compact these units weigh no more than 125g, are supplied with comprehensive instructions and all at an incredibly low price.

Download a PDF file of the instructions here: Ignition Instructions pdf.

When converting an existing electric ignition petrol engine to use this CDI unit the required magnet should already be mounted on the engine. When converting a non electric ignition petrol engine, or a glow engine a magnet will need to be purchased (see below) and fitted.

When converting glow engines to run on petrol the compression ratio often needs to be reduced, this can be done by fitting extra head shims to the engine. These can be purchased for all the engines we sell here: Engine Spares.
